WVCST rated 83.33% passing score in the recent Electrical Engineering board exam.
Ten (10) out of twelve (12) WVCST students who took the Registered Electrical Engineer Licensure Examination given last September 7 – 8, 2013 passed giving an 83.33 % passing score for the college. Ten (10) of which are first timers while two (2) are repeaters and out of these 2 repeaters, 1 successfully passed. These passers came from the BSEE March 2013 graduates.

Western Visayas College of Science and Technology is ranked #1 in Western Visayas with 83.33% in the over-all performance with CPU as ranked #2 with a performance of 71.43%, a total of 14 examinees and 1o passers. Western Institute of Technology, however, had 46 examinees with 15 passers giving them an over -all performance of 32.61%. Meanwhile, in the national level, the University of Batangas who had 16 examinees gained a total of 100% performance after all their examinees passed the licensure exam as well as the Mindanao State University –Iligan Institute of Technology with all its 26 examinees passing the exam. TUP or the Technological University of the Philippines, Manila also posted a good percentage of 74.44% with 67 passers out of 90 examinees.
The National Passing Percentage is 53.64% and WVCST passing percentage is 83.33%.
