College Submits 2 Programs for AACCUP Accreditation

                Western Visayas College of Science and Technology submits today to AACCUP Accreditors two of its programs for preliminary Survey.

                One of the programs that will be under the survey is the Masters of Arts in Mathematics in the Main Campus and the other program is the Bachelor of Industrial Technology in Dumangas Campus.

                The OIC to the Office of The President, Dr. Carmelo V. Ambut, is very hopeful that these two programs will pass the accreditation and expects that before year 2014 ends, all the programs of WVCST will be completely accredited by the AACCUP.

                This undertaking, according to Dr. Luis M. Sorolla, Jr., AACCUP President and at the same time the OIC, VPRE, is very important and should be done continuously to be able to achieve the vision and mission of the College in serving its clientele. On the other hand, Dr. Ester L. Forlales, of Romblon State University, the Team Leader of the survey group, appealed to the local Task Force to work hand in hand with them for the success of the survey visit.

                The other members of the AACCUP Team of Accreditors who will be working with Dr. Forlales are Dr. Genelita E. Hernandez and Dr. Pinky B. Carig, both from Mindoro State College of Agriculture and Technology.

                The survey starts today, April 28 and will be finished on April 30, 2014.
